Greensboro College Pride Women’s Lacrosse Roll Past Panthers 22-2

GREENSBORO, NC — Nadya Fedun the Pride women’s lacrosse team to a 22-2 victory over visiting LaGrange on Monday afternoon. Fedun was credited with 11 points (3g, 8a) on the day which is second in school history for points in a single game.

Greensboro College was able to find the net 14 times in the first period, pulling out to 14-2 halftime lead. The Pride showed strong defense in the second, and was able to keep the Panthers off of the board pulling away for the 22-2 victory.

Greensboro College was led on the day by Kirstin Norris, Ashlynn Parks, and Alexa Besh who each tallied four goals on the day. The Pride also had Nadya Fedun, Kayla Gonzalez, Devan Macheras, and Amira Khatib finding the back of the net on multiple occasions.

The Pride held a 27-8 advantage on shots in the game, and a 28-15 margin in the ground ball category. Kaleigh Hemstock took the win in the net for the Pride, while Dominique Jordan collected three saves off the bench.

With the win, the Pride moves to 4-3 overall on the season and 3-1 in USA South play. The Pride will step outside of conference play when they welcome Wesley to Pride Field on Wednesday afternoon. The first draw is set for 3:00 pm.
