Reidsville – Sophomore Nick Richmond got his first varsity start and went 5 innings giving up 3 hits and 1 run. Chris Cotter: 1 for 3

Kennan Lynn, Kip Brandenburg, Matt Horkey and Corey Brandenburg combined to pitch a 1 hitter. Lynn started and went 4 innings, striking out 6 and allowing 0 hits and 1 run which scored on a bases loaded walk. Kip Brandenburg went 1.1 innings striking out 2, Horkey pitched 1.2 striking out 5 and Corey Brandenburg pitched the eighth allowing the only hit, a one out single.

Ragsdale got a run in the fifth when Matt Horkey got aboard on a one out single and the tying run scored when Avery Hodges got a two out RBI single.

The winning run scored in the eighth on a bases-loaded one out come back to the pitcher, Tanner Boles. Boles got the force at home, but the catcher threw the ball over the first baseman’s head trying to get the double play and the game ended as Taylor Still crossed the plate. Kip Brandenburg and Still had gotten back to back one out singles and they advanced to second and third after a wild pitch. An intentional walk loaded the bases before the error led to the game winner

Ragsdale is at Western Guilford on Wednesday, March 11 @ 7:00 PM while Reidsville will travel to McMichael on that same date and time, weather permitting.
