Ragsdale scored two runs in the third, fourth and seventh innings to take a 6 – 0 lead. In the third, Matt Horkey doubled in Niko Orfanedes who had singled with the games first run and Cesar Trejo singled to drive in the second. In the fourth, Kip Brandenburg doubled to drive in Colin Lipke who was on board via an error and Orfanedes drove in Brandenburg with his second base hit. Wheatmore’s defense fell apart in the seventh as Ragsdale added two more runs. Trejo picked up a hit and stole second, went to third on a passed ball and scored when the third baseman booted a ground ball. Pinch runner Trey Rainey stole third and came home with the Tigers final run on a throwing error.

Matt Horkey got the start and went six innings. He gave up a leadoff single to Danny Turnbull and did not allow another hit until the sixth when Tyler Sheets got on board with a bunt single. Horkey was in command, striking out 9 batters and not allowing a walk as he picked up his second win of the season.

Wheatmore got their lone run in the seventh. Two walks off of reliever Corey Brandenburg led to a sacrifice fly from Landon Smith which plated Paul Walker.

Ragsdale will play Randleman at home on Tuesday, March 18th at 5:00 PM. Wheatmore will be at East Davidson on Monday, March 17th at 5:00 PM
