College Women’s Lacrosse News – Guilford’s Lily Colley Named ODAC Player of the Week

FOREST, Va. –Senior Lily Colley (Wells, Maine/Wells (Clark)) earned the Old Dominion Athletic Conference’s Women’s Lacrosse Player of the Week Award Monday. The honor marks her first of the season and the third of her illustrious career.

Colley, an attacker and midfielder, received her prize after setting Guilford’s single-game scoring record with 12 points in the Quakers’ 20-18 road win over Randolph-Macon College March 15 in both teams’ ODAC opener. Her seven assists are the most scored in a game by an NCAA Division III student this season and her 12 points are mark the second-highest single-game total this year. She scored five goals and added a career-best seven assists to break the previous mark of 11 points she shared with two others. Her seven assists rank second all-time at Guilford. Colley had two goals and four assists in the second half, which helped the visiting Quakers overcome a 12-9 deficit.

Colley ranks sixth in NCAA Division III with an ODAC-best 7.20 points per game average. She is second in the conference and 15th nationally with 36 points on 20 goals and 16 assists. Colley leads the league and stands 14th in the country with 16 assists and needs just two more to break Guilford’s career record. Her 20 goals stand second on the team and sixth in the ODAC. Colley is second in the ODAC with 4.0 goals per game. She has 225 career points, two shy of passing Mary Hutchins ’08 for second place on the Quakers’ career scoring chart.

Colley has helped coach Sarah Lamphier’s Quakers to a 3-2 record (1-0 ODAC). Guilford hosts league games with Randolph College Wednesday (3/19) and Virginia Wesleyan College Saturday (3/22).
