D3hoops.com announced the 2013-14 D3hoops.com All-Region teams on Monday afternoon, and Greensboro College’s Devan Gregory was named south region rookie of the year.

Gregory a freshman from Greensboro, North Carolina and Dudley High School appeared in 27 games on the season for the Pride. Gregory led the Pride and USA South rookies with a 15.7 points per to go along with 3.8 rebounds and 1.6 assist per game. Gregory was also named the USA South Rookie of The Year just two weeks ago.

“Devan is more than deserving of this outstanding recognition. Over the course of the season Devan continued to improve on both sides of the ball and matured immensely as a college basketball player”, Pride Head Coach Bryan Galuski said. “He worked extremely hard in preparing himself for his freshman season and he deserves this accolade. He has an extremely bright college career in front of him and I am excited to watch him continue to grow as a student-athlete and coach him for the next three years.”

This is the 13th season D3hoops.com has named All-Region teams, and Gregory becomes the first Pride men’s basketball player in school history to be named Regional Rookie of The Year.
