Davidson(Western Guilford High School) and McCann(Northeast Guilford High School) were both on the board in Boone yesterday…See how, when you see below….

from the Appalachian State Athletics web site, coming out of the Mountaineers’ Spring Football Scrimmage on Saturday, in Boone…They played the game in the driving rain and that gave them inclement weather conditions, so they will be ready when they face the bad weather, when their season arrives….

Junior running back Eric Davidson opened the scoring when he ran through a huge hole opened up by the left side of the offensive line and raced past the secondary for a 64-yard touchdown gallop on the first play of the fourth series. Seven possessions later, junior quarterback Kameron Bryant found sophomore tight end Jacob McCann for a six-yard touchdown pass on third-and-goal.

Congrats to Eric, who has always been a very dilligent, determined, and very hard worker. I hope that he finally gets a chance at App State to showcase all the hard work he has put forth ever since I coached him in his beginning high school career.Sometimes all you need is a chance,I sincerely hope that this is his chance.
