College Women’s Lacrosse News – Guilford’s Colley Wins Third Straight Weekly ODAC Prize of the Week

FOREST, Va. – Guilford College senior Lily Colley earned her third straight Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Lacrosse Player of the Week Award Monday. She has won the honor three times this season and five times in her career.

Colley, a 5-5 attacker, paced the Quakers in a 1-1 week with 17 points on 10 goals and seven assists. She also led the team with nine ground balls and four caused turnovers. Colley had a game-high 10 points on seven goals and three assists, plus six ground balls in Guilford’s 20-18 loss to visiting Farmingdale State College Mar. 27.

Two days later Colley scored three times and had four helpers in Guilford’s 18-5 home win over league-rival Sweet Briar College. Her seven points led Guilford’s scorers for the fifth straight game and the seventh time this year. She had two goals and four assists in the first half to help the Quakers open a 16-1 halftime lead.

Colley leads the ODAC with 69 points on 38 goals and a league-best 31 assists. She stands fifth among this week’s NCAA Division III points leaders, ranks seventh nationally in assists and eighth in assists per game. She ranks second only to teammate E’leyna Garcia in Guilford history with 258 career points on 158 goals and 100 assists in three-plus seasons.

Coach Sarah Lamphier’s Quakers (6-3, 4-0 ODAC) put their unbeaten league record on the line Wednesday (4/2) at Roanoke College at 7:00 p.m.
