HPCA dropped Forsyth Country Day

HPCA won their first conference game of the year against Forsyth Country Day on Tuesday winning 6/2.

HPCA took the lead in the fifth inning on an RBI single by Lindsay Cecil, followed by a two RBI double by Sloane McPeak.

Ashlyn Kennedy handled Forsyth Country Day’s lineup racking up eight strikeouts. Ashlyn allowed two earned runs, four hits and five walks over seven innings.

Game played on Thursday 4/3:

HPCA take out the Greater Cabarrus Stallions with help from Maddie Faulkner, 7-4

HPCA beat the Greater Cabarrus Stallions 7-4 in seven innings on Thursday behind Maddie Faulkner, who went 1-1.

She singled in the fourth inning.

Sloane McPeak was a workhorse on the rubber for HPCA. Sloane allowed three earned runs, five hits and one walk while striking out four over seven innings of work.

HPCA went up for good in the first, scoring two runs on A two-run single by Ashlyn Kennedy.

HPCA increased its lead with two runs in the second. The inning looked promising, as Sydney Harris doubled, scoring Grace Young to kick things off. That was followed up by Lindsay Cecil’s single, bringing home Sydney.
