Greensboro College Baseball Earns #1 Spot on ESPN Top 10 Plays – TRIPLE PLAY!

GREENSBORO, NC — The Greensboro College Pride baseball team was brought to worldwide attention on Saturday night earning the number one spot on the ESPN Top 10 plays of the day. The Pride pulled an amazing triple play to end a third inning threat by Maryville College who was leading 1-0 at the time.

With Kristopher Peeden pitching for Greensboro, the Scots Nick Dean hit a line drive to Pride right fielder Blake Throneburg for the first out. Following the line out, Throneburg threw to first baseman Kyle Willard for the second out before catcher Andrew Ray applied the tag at home to complete the triple play for Greensboro.

The video that was submitted was shot by Greensboro College student Craig Gage who works with the Pride Sports Information office.
