from Ragsdale High School Athletic Director Brian Herndon…..

Ragsdale Baseball/ Big Win vs. Southwest Guilford
(Bigger Win Vs. Cancer)

The Ragsdale Tiger Baseball was impressive in its 4-1 win this past Friday over Southwest Guilford. The win moved the Tigers record to 10-2. Even more impressive than the outstanding play on the field: the Tiger Baseball team raised a total of $10,680.00 for the Vs. Cancer organization to fight Cancer! A special thank you to Coach Donnie Maness, his staff, and all Tiger Baseball players for this extremely impressive gesture.

You know I love my Whirlies but I have to say this is extremely impressive! Way to go Tigers!

Way to make a difference on and off the baseball field.

That was a great night just like it was last year. Both years it was perfect weather and great baseball. The fact Ragsdale won both games made it a little sweeter (especially last year with a Duncan Sparks walk off home run in a 1-0 win).

But what really made the night special was as passionate as both teams are to beat their rival (fans, coaches and players) as soon as the game was over it was like one big family of blue, white, green and black pulling together for one cause. Everyone out there having a great time, laughing and snapping photos and doing something special to raise money for a great cause.

Everybody that left that stadium knew they were part of something special. Hats off to Chase Jones for starting something that really does make a difference.
