High Point Christian Academy softball report:
HPCA falls 4-3 to Hickory Grove Christian

Austen Coats did all she could to give HPCA a boost, but it wasn’t enough to get past Hickory Grove Christian, as HPCA lost 4-3 in seven innings on Friday.

Austen was solid at the plate for HPCA. Austen went 2-2, drove in one and scored one run. She singled in the third and fifth innings.
The lead stayed with Hickory Grove Christian after the first, when it scored three runs on an RBI double by Dobner, an error, and an RBI single by Ward.

Two HPCA runs crossed the plate in the bottom half of the third, making the score 3-2. An error and an error triggered HPCA’s comeback.

One run in the bottom of the fifth helped HPCA close its deficit to 4-3. An RBI single by Austen sparked HPCA’s rally.

HPCA 12-1

Where is the story on the Ragsdale game? They seem to be a little slow getting the story out after a loss.

To Tigers: Sorry story is late…my pay for doing it doesn’t include timeliness. 🙂 Went out of town after the game and didn’t get story done until this morning. Appreciate your interest and your sarcasm.
