  1. Randleman has 2 good freshmen pitchers in Bailey Welch and Zac Kemp, who were on the mound last night. And Tanner Routh will pitch in the championship game is a legit D1 prospect and will certainly be looking to go in the draft when his time comes. He can throw close to 90 and earlier in year pitched a complete game shutout against SE. When he is on the mound, Tigers will be tough to beat.

  2. Randelman has a coach that will take them to another state title. Jake Smith knows the game. The freshman pitchers for Randleman were great— They both can play at the next level in college. I saw a Lefty that threw for Guilford College and beat Lynchburg that did not throw as hard as Kemp. Jake Smith when he needed to make a change went with the lefty after GHS had seen the righty Welch. Change the look — change speeds — Jake Smith understands how to manage the game and his pitchers. If you are throwing a righty and they start hitting him go with a lefty if you can– Change speeds by changing pitchers with different velocitys. Hitting is timing– Jake Smith understands it because he caught on the college and pro level. Why do you think UNC has 22 pitchers on a 35 man roster? They change pitchers every couple of innings when a pitcher has gone thru the lineup a time or two—- change– new look– tough on the hitters to adjust. VELOCITY IS NOT PITCHING! Changing speeds and hitting your spots is pitching.
