High Point University Names Dan Hauser New Athletic Director

HIGH POINT, N.C. — High Point University President Nido R. Qubein announced today the appointment of Dan Hauser as the new Athletic Director, effective July 1, 2014. Hauser has spent the last eight years as Senior Associate Athletic Director at Ohio University. He previously served as Director of Marketing at Wake Forest University.

“High Point University continues to focus on attracting scholar athletes who perform well both in the classroom and on the field” said Qubein. “Dan Hauser’s commitment to student excellence will add measurably to the HPU culture.”

High Point University competes at the NCAA Div. I level in 16 varsity sports. Every sport competes in the Big South Conference except men’s lacrosse, which will competes in the Atlantic Sun Conference.
