Game Report on Western Guilford-Southwestern Randolph baseball from Friday night as Hornets pull even(5-5) in conference play

*****What a turn-around this has turned out to be…WG Hornets on the move in the Mid-Piedmont 3-A Conference*****

Western Guilford 8, SW Randolph 4 (8 innings)
WP-Andrew King

Western Guilford Hornets beat Conference foe SW Randolph in a key game last night 8-4 to raise their record to (5-5) in Conference and move into 3rd place.

It was a well played ball game as Austin Sisbarro pitched 6 solid innings for the Hornets and then 6’6” ace hurler Andrew King came in to finish and get the win.

Hitting stars were again Sisbarro, John Flowers (3hits), King ( 2hits, 3 RBI) and catcher Chris Lee. Freshman Troy Flippin had a key triple over the centerfielder’s head and then scored the go ahead run in the 8th inning on the Sisbarro clutch single. John Iorio SS and Lucas Olszewski 3B made stellar plays all night long to keep the game close as SW Randoph hit the ball hard but the Hornet Defense prevailed.
