MACON, Ga. – For the fourth time this season, Elon women’s lacrosse goalie Rachel Ramirez has been selected as the Atlantic Sun Defensive Player of the Week, the league office announced today, April 28. She is the only player in the conference to receive a weekly honor more than twice this season.

The freshman recorded 18 saves in the two games, including eight saves on 14 shots on goal in an 18-6 win at Stetson on Friday. The Lindenhurst, N.Y., native also added six caused turnovers and seven ground balls on the week.
