Some of the names we saw from the Guilford County Track and Field Meet on Saturday

We saw the Northern Guilford boys and the Dudley girls were the overall winners…..

The prom killed several races on Saturday, as many of the girls had to leave early to go get ready….

Blair Ramsey from Grimsley only participated in the girls 4×800 relay run and Sara Platek from Ragsdale decided to sit out a key race….Platek did win the 3200 meter event for the girls…

We had mentioned Nolan Cook of Page in our previous posts and he took the men’s 1600 meters…Jon Knight, from Northern Guilford gave Cook a run for his money, but couldn’t catch Cook, but Knight did take the men’s 800 meter run….

DeAndre and LeAndre McGill did do well for Northeast Guilford and we had mentioned both of them in our preview on Saturday…..Both McGills part of NEG Rams’ 4×400 relay winning team, then DeAndre won the 400 meters race and LeAndre took the 200 meters….

Joe Popek(Ragsdale) won the pole vault….Reggie Gallaspy(Southern Guilford) took the discus…Imani Abraham(Dudley) grabbed both the girls shot put and the discus titles…..Tevin Quick(Ragsdale) was the boys high jump winner and he jumped 6’6 and that is very good….Mason Kepley(High Point Central) won both the womens 1660 and 800 meter runs….Michael Jones from Southern Guilford showed up well in the mens 100 meters taking home the gold….Boys overall scores fairly close with NG, Ragsdale, SEG and NEG, while the Dudley Panthers were the runaway winners for the women’s side of the meet….
