Early lead gives HPCA easy victory over Calvary Baptist Day, 14-0

HPCA shut the door early on Calvary Baptist Day, capturing a 14-0 victory on Tuesday.

Seven runs in the first three innings allowed HPCA to put the game away early.

An RBI single by Sloane McPeak, an RBI single by Maddie Faulkner an RBI single by Kirstin Hart, an RBI single by Austen Coats, a two-run error, and an error during the first inning supplied the early offense for HPCA.

Kirsten racked up two RBIs on three hits for HPCA.

Ashlyn Kennedy put together a nice outing pitching a no hitter. Kennedy allowed no earned runs and struck out eight during her five innings of work.

HPCA built upon its lead with seven runs in the fifth. A clutch bases loaded walk scored Hadley Coats to open the scoring in the frame. That was followed up by Ashlyn’s single, scoring Sydney Harris and Sloane McPeak.
