Greensboro’s Ryan Johnson(New Hope Christian Academy) has committed to play college basketball at Rutgers

Got the word from LA Logan this morning and then did the follow-up with the ESPN College Recruiting Nation page and there it is, Ryan Johnson, from Greensboro, North Carolina, has committed to play his college basketball at Rutgers and he will be a Scarlet Knight in the Fall of 2014….

Johnson averaged 20-plus points per game this past season for the Phoenix at New Hope Christian Academy in Thomasville and he had at least two 40-point games and he hit for thirty points on several occasions…Some of his best games while at New Hope Christian came when the Phoenix faced the Bears from the New Garden Friends School and a few of those Ryan Johnson vs. Kanayo Obi-Rapu Jr. matchups nearly re-wrote the record books, for both schools….

Coach Mike Shaw and all of those associated with the New Hope Christian Academy are very proud today of Ryan Johnson, from Greensboro, N.C., as he studies his basketball map, which will now take RJ to NJ/New Jersey, as he prepares to check in at Rutgers….
