Shots fired Tuesday night near N.C. A&T campus and student/football player found laying dead in the street

Jermane Clark played football and graduated from Oak Ridge Military Academy and was a linebacker on the N.C. A&T Aggies’ football team….Not a good way at all to go, to be found shot dead and laying in the street, in front of your apartment…..


GREENSBORO — An N.C. A&T University student was shot and killed Tuesday night on the street in front of his home.

Jermane Darnell Clark, 22, of 425 Stedman St., was shot about 11 p.m., police said.

Police found Clark in the 400 block of Stedman Street, said Capt. Mike Richey.

Clark was a pyschology major from Winston-Salem who also was a linebacker on the football team. Clark played in six of A&T’s 11 games during the 2013 season and assisted on one tackle against Hampton.

Clark graduated from Oak Ridge Military Academy after attending Reynolds High School in Winston-Salem for two years. He spent his freshman year of high school in Lynchburg, Va.
