  1. SEG left too many on base. They made a few errors in the field and did not get the timely hits. Credit Davie County their pitchers did a good job and they have some good hitters. SEG had a chance in the bottom of the sixth with one out and bases loaded to tie or take the lead but couldn’t get it done. In the bottom of the seventh Shutt led off and grounded out, Hessenthaler rips a triple, Strouth rips a line drive right at the 2nd baseman and then Royal chops one back to the pitcher, game over. I think Shutt was 3 for 4 with a double, Hessenthaler had a triple, then there was a few singles scattered in there. Not their best night of hitting. This team will be very good next year. The only starter they lose is Shutt. Pegram got some very good experience in the circle and with some travel ball work this summer she will better next year. They also have a very good freshman pitcher coming in. With that duo they will have the pitching duties covered. Someone will have to step up and take over the lead off spot, their hitting and defense should be solid.
