WP:Staunton…..Western Alamance 3, Northern Guilford 2
Baseball:
WS Reagan 5, Northwest Guilford 2…SG will play Carson on Monday at 7pm…Northern at Orange on Saturday at Noon…
Got this score while I was down there at the Greensboro Grasshoppers game and we there a bit late tonight, Hoppers lose Game One 8-3 and win Game Two, 4-1…..Score that I saw was:
Southeast Guilford 10
Porter Ridge 2
WP:Bailey Steed with a Complete Game shutout for the Falcons….Hits-wise we saw where Carmine Pagaon had a Triple other hits??? Charlie Pannell said Pagano has been hitting the ball well lately…Word from the game is Steed pitched one of the best games that the people from SEG had seen from a junior in high school…Good effort by the Falcons in the win now everybody wants to know who they(SEG) will be playing next???

  1. Can someone explain to me why southern Guilfords game is Monday at 7. I thought the second round had to be completed by Saturday.

  2. SG was going to try and play versus Carson last night because Carson has their prom on Saturday night. However, after the heavy rain –field conditions would not allow it and the game was rescheduled for 6pm today to allow the field to dry and be safe to play on. SG was not interested in a “neutral site” and I don’t blame them. Carson parents flooded calls to NCHSAA, GCS, & SG and the game was changed. Now both teams are at a disadvantage going forward.
