Congratulations Ragsdale’s Athletes at the 4A State Track and Field Championships

Ragsdale’s Track Program concluded the season with another strong showing at the NCHSAA 4A State Championship meet held at NC A&T State University this past Saturday. All-State Honors went to Kalvin Johnson, 4th in the shot put; and Tevin Quick, 4th in the High Jump. Also scoring was Joseph Popek, 6th in the Pole Vault; and Tevin Quick, 8th in the Triple jump; and Chesney Ward, 6th in the women’s Pole Vault. Chetney Taylor also placed 10th in shot put.

The following Ragsdale Track Athletes have qualified for the New Balance National High School track and field championships: Tevin Quick, High Jump and Long Jump; Joseph Popek, Pole Vault; Kalvin Johnson, Shot Putt; Sara Platek 1600/3200; and Charla Ward, 100m dash. Congratulations are once again in order to Coach Anne Popek, Coach Mark Pitts, the Tiger Athletes who represented RHS this past Saturday, and all members of the 2013-2014 Piedmont Triad 4A Men’s and Women’s Conference Track Champions.
