Looking at Teams(Softball and Baseball) and Looking at Coaches(Basketball)

Just a few notes to float out there today for the main menu….

We still have our Northwest Guilford Vikings in the NCHSAA 4-A Softball Playoffs and they(20-4) will be at North Davidson(29-0) on Friday night….

Area teams still in the baseball hunt include the Randleman Tigers and the Southwestern Randolph Cougars from Randolph County and the West Forsyth Titans and the Demons of WS Reynolds, from Forsyth County….Have seen both Randleman and West Forsyth play and they are very good teams….

New Page boys basketball coach???
How about Brandon Clifford from High Point Christian Academy?
Seems like a logical choice….He is a former Page Pirate player and he served on the Page Pirate coaching staff, under former head coach Robert Kent…..

The name Brandon Clifford is a name that is starting to get a lot of attention and I heard his name pop up a couple of times yesterday….

  1. He should stay at HPCA. Look at all of the drama the Page coach had with the players and parents the last 2 years. At HPCA he can pick who he wants to play for him but at Page he would have to deal with people that he will have no option but to take whoever he can. HPCA can at least help sponsor players into the school but it will not be often that Page will have sponsors from AAU rolling through the school

  2. Don’t think this is nearly as done of a deal as people think. Heard the rumblings for weeks, but from what I have heard it will take a lot for him to leave HPCA. Wouldn’t be shocked either way, but the rumor mill isn’t producing a lot of substance other than people talking about things they probably don’t know.

  3. I hear Jeff Smith from GDS wants it bad. Freddy is pushing hard for him to get it so he can get Page back on the schedule. He would be a good one. He could sell houses to players in the Page district and build a GDS type program there that way.

  4. Have Not Heard That But He would Be A Great One. Great Basketball Mind And A Great Person As well
