We were there today for the recognition of the Northwest Guilford High School student/athletes that are heading on to college to continue their athletic careers and this was not the first group of NWG students to be recognized this year(2013/2014), but this is the final group and we were glad to get the chance to see them get their proper send-off today…

NWG AD John Hughes was the man in charge of the ceremonies and he principal Ralph Kitley in the house and we saw Jon Sugg(UNC), Hampton Billups(N.C. State), Keenan Scott(Lenior-Rhyne), all from the football team declare and announce their intentions, you had Jordan Zambrick, Chris Kernan and Dillon Cox the baseball team and at least two of those baseball players are going to GTCC to play and one is on to Surry Community College, you had a men’s and women’s tennis player9going to Eckerd College in Florida) and there was a track man headed north….And Kyle Scott, Keenan Scott’s twin brother from the Greensboro College early college was there and played tennis at NWG and he is now headed to N.C. (Coach Joe Woodruff was there from the football team along with Jon and Matt Sugg’s dad Mark and many other friends and family members of these outstanding student-athletes)….
