11am:#2 Florida State(1-0) vs. #6 Maryland(1-0)…Maryland is looking toward the Big Ten, but they are trying to steal one, on the way out of the ACC….Crowds have been leaning against the Terps and that makes sense to me, and you???
3pm:#5 Clemson(2-0) vs. #9 Georgia Tech(1-1)….Clemson and local product Weston Wilson, the Tigers’ starting third baseman, are coming after the Title and they must stop the Jackets, before they can go for the Championship ‘T’ Shirts….Just think, we could have had big D.J. Reader(Grimsley HS) ought there too with the Tigers, but he opted to go full-time football…Wonder if D.J. is in the house at NBBP this week and watching his Tigers???
7pm:#3 Virginia(0-1) vs. #7 North Carolina(0-1)….Lots of folks saying they are headed downtown for this game tonight and it might turn out to be the largest Pool Play Game of the week, attendance-wise…Would love to see Luis Paula(Northeast Guilford HS) get a chance to get on the mound for the Tar Heels…Matt Orth(Southwest Guilford HS) also on the roster, but not expected to see any action in this series of games…..
