West Forsyth Titans win 4-A State Baseball Title on Saturday at UNCG:Titans take home the TITLE!

Big win for the West Forsyth Titans and we must remember that the Grimsley Whirlies gave them a big run in Game One of the playoffs…..Grimsley led West Forsyth early, 2-0 and the Titans battled back to take down the Whirlies 3-2….Grimsley gave them one heck of a game and we must tip our caps to West Forsyth for hanging in there and taking the Title…..Big-time win for West, Forsyth County and the Triad, and again, Congrats to Coach Bullard and his Titans on their NCHSAA 4-A Title….

GREENSBORO— Sophomore Alex Vanderstok had three hits in four trips and Tripp Shelton blasted a big three-run home run as West Forsyth defeated Richmond Senior 6-3 on Saturday in the decisive third game of the North Carolina High School Athletic Association state 4-A baseball championship series at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.

West Forsyth took the best of three series two games to one and won its first NCHSAA baseball title, making its second trip to the finals and first visit in 12 years. The Titans finished 29-6 on the year while Richmond wound up 24-9-1.
