GC Pride Volleyball Announces 2014 Recruiting Class

GREENSBORO, NC — Greensboro College head volleyball coach Kaci Loeffler announced the addition of five players for the 2014 season on Tuesday afternoon. The 2014 class includes three hitters, two defensive specialist, and one setter.

“Our program is very excited to welcome a great group of players,” Coach Loeffler said. “The incoming class is complete with strong work ethic and high expectations for the upcoming season. We are certain these girls will be successful both on and off the court and are privileged they have chosen to bring their talents to Greensboro College.”

Breana Baker, Charlotte, NC, Cato Middle College High School/Rocky River High School, Outside Hitter/ Defensive Specialist, 5’5″

Club: Carolina Peak Volleyball Club

High School: Was a four year Varsity Letterman at Rocky River High School……Was named team captain and team Most Valuable Player in her senior season

Personal: Daughter of Anthony and Cynthia Baker


Darrian Bolt, Mt. Pleasant, NC, Mt. Pleasant High School, Setter, 5’6″

Club: Played for Carolina Peak Volleyball

High School: Played for Mt. Pleasant High School where she received All-Conference recognition in her sophomore, junior, and senior seasons. Bolt also received the Mt. Pleasant High School Lady Tiger Award in her sophomore and junior season before reciving the school’s Most Valuable player award in her senior season.

Personal: Daughter of Michael and Michele Bolt


Eden Crowell, Charleston, SC, Northwood Academy High School, Defensive Specialist/Libero, 5’4″

High School: Played at Northwood Academy High School where she was named to the All-SCISA Team while receiving the Star Player of the Year award in her senior season. Was also a member of the Northwood Academy women’s basketball team.

Personal: Daughter of Robin Bissinger and Gary Crowell


Shayla Moss, Buffalo, NY, Green Hope HS, Middle/Right Side, 5’7″

Club: Played for NC Volleyball Academy

High School: Played at Green Hope High School in Cary, North Carolina for four seasons.

Personal: Daughter of Herbert and Alexis Moss


Cyarra Pierson, Archer Lodge, NC, Corinth Holders High School, Outside Hitter, 5’8″

Club: Johnston County Heat

High school: Played four year for Corinth Holders High School, where she earned All-Conference honors and received the 2013-2014 Female Athlete of the Year award.

Personal: Daughter of Maureen and David Pierson


Greensboro College returns eight players from last seasons team that finished with a 13-20 overall record. USA South First Team All-Conference member Liz Widenhouse returns to lead the Pride after finishing with a team high in kills with 488 and digs with 348 during the 2013 season.
