Game Five in the Best-of-Five Series will be tonight/Thursday at 7pm, at Finch Field in High Point…

For High Point Post 87 winning pitcher Ryan Kahny pitched very well in 7 2/3’s innings, working with a two-run lead most of the night.

High Point’s Zach McLean had two hits, including an RBI double in the third, to lead the HiToms, who totaled seven hits for the game. Cesar Trejo also had an RBI in the third on a sacrifice fly, while Hayden Manuel drove in a run in the second on an infield single deep in the hole at shortstop.

“Our pitching staff and our defense have been outstanding,” coach Rob Shore said. “Some of our guys are still looking for their bats – I don’t know if they left them wherever. But we have not been hitting the ball, and a lot of that has to do with how good a team they are.”

Kernersville’s Mason Striplin went 2 for 2 with two doubles, a sacrifice fly and two RBIs while Bump Martin also had two hits and two runs.to lead Post 36, which had five hits – all from their top three batters.
