Kernersville Bulldogs come up big at CVCL All-Star Game in Hickory

Kernersville Bulldog players shine on all-star night in Hickory.

Kernersville’s Dustin Ijames’ Grey squad edged out a 4-3 victory in a very well played all-star event.

Faced with no hits entering the fifth inning it was Kernersville’s TJ Wharton getting the first hit. A four run seventh inning was highlighted by a 2-run RBI double by Kernersville’s Shane Billings.

Billings would tie the game on an infield hit. A walk to Kernersville player Kevin Jordan loaded the bases the Blue team reliever came on to walk TJ Wharton for what ended to be winning run as solid defense by the grey squad secured the victory.

Both Kernersville pitchers Embler and James hurled scoreless frames.

The workout portion of the days activities were also dominated by outstanding performances by the Kernersville Squad .
