Kernersvillle Bulldogs go to (39-9) and one of the Summer’s top teams

Bulldogs Sweep Second Place Stars 5-1, and 5-0 to push their record to 39-9 and remain in first place in the Carolina Virginia Collegiate summer league.

Alex Embler picked up his fifth win of the year in game one striking out 7 and allowing only three hits and NCA&T right hander Mitch McQueen hurled two innings of no hit ball in picking up his first save of the year.

Ray Crawford with a 2-4 and 3 rbi night, Kyle Humphrey of Guilford with a 1-2, two runs scored and a rbi night, and Brandon Burkes with a 2-4, two run scored night paced the offense.

In game two Burkes, Crawford and Kevin Jordan of Wake Forest had big 2-3 nights to back the five hit pitching of Thomas St Clair of Lenoir Rhyne and Guilford’s Avery Rogers. St Clair got his second win of the year for Kernersville.
