Blake Deatherage(Western Alamance) has verbally committed to UNC–Wilmington to play baseball. Blake has been a two-time All-Conference(Mid-State 3-A) team member, was named to the 3-A All State squad in 2014 and was part of the Region 5 State Games team this Summer for the games, in Charlotte.
Deatherage also made the 17U Wood Bat All-Tournament team in Georgia a couple of weeks back. He plays for the Evoshield Canes 17 South team.
Blake will join/enter as a Seahawk in the Fall of 2015 and possibly team up with Zack Canada(Southeast Guilford HS) who is already down in Wilmington in pursuit of his college education, as an incoming freshman in the Summer/Fall of 2014…..
