Peyton pushing for his place in Pentahalon competition on a National level….

Peyton Haack(Northwest Guilford High School) competed in the nationals in the Pentathlon at Houston, Texas on Monday. Peyton finished 2nd in the nation with 2852 points and several all time bests. There are five events, 100 meter hurdles, High Jump, Long Jump, shot put and the 1500 Meter run.

Peyton qualified at state meet in Durham, qualified again at the Regional meet in Durham which qualified him to compete in the Nationals in 13-14 year-old bracket.

Peyton will compete in the open events Today/Wednesday, Thursday and Friday in the High Jump, 200 Meter hurdles and Long Jump. More information on Peyton Haack can be found at( USATF.com) and he will be live on the internet/computers at USATF.TV.

Peyton is the younger brother of Weston Haack at Northwest Guilford High School and Keaton Haack, a Northwest Guilford graduate….

Numbers Peyton has posted on his way to the Nationals:
100 M Hurdles 15.27
HJ 5’5″
LJ 17’4″
shot 35’2″
1500M 4:59
Total points 2852 for 2nd place overall which makes him an All-American according to USA track and Field. This marks a personal record for him. Shot Put and 1500 were personal best/personal records also.

    The kid can compete…Looked smooth out there on the track in Houston…
