It was the second-greatest comeback in Greensboro Reds team history tonight at Western Guilford High School, where the Reds came back from being down 8-3 in the 3rd Inning and they battled back to win the Tuesday meeting with the Kernersville Marlins, with the final, 9-8 Reds…

Jonathan Smith was the glue that kept the Reds together and in the game and with Smith taking over the pitching duties and carrying the Reds over 5 innings and putting and leaving his team in a position to win on Tuesday night at Western Guilford, in the second-greatest comback in Greensboro Reds team history….

Smith(SWG) was named the ‘Star of the Game’ by Greensboro Reds’ manager Enad Haddad…Tiger Miller(GTCC) went 3-4 with 3 RBI to lead the Reds’ hitters..

A Grand Slam home run off of the bat of Scott Venable was the big blow for the Marlins and it came in that 3rd inning when the Marlins went up 8-3, with what looked like an insurmountable lead, but the Reds came back and in the end, the Reds won it, 9-8 and Charles Anthony took the loss for the Marlins…

The Greensboro Grasshopper fell to the Augusta 8-5 in Georgia tonight and they will be back at NewBridge Bank Park to face the Asheville Tourists, on Wednesday night…
