  1. Here is how some of the late stages went courtesy of JC On-line.com

Grand Ledge, Mich. 3, Greensboro, N.C. 3, mid 7: New life for the North Carolina squad. After loading the bases with no outs in the sixth and failing to score, Greensboro took advantage of the same situation an inning later. Max Beck, Josh Pike and Noah Carter all scored and Randy Norris had an RBI single. Play of the inning, however, belonged to Cameron Collins, who threw out Norris trying to score from second on a base hit to left field by Tanner Hobbs. It’s the second outfield assist for an out at hometoday by Grand Ledge.

Grand Ledge, Mich. 3, Greensboro, N.C. 3, end 7: Grand Ledge loaded the bases with one out but the Greensboro defense came through. Mitch Painter hit a grounder to third which was tossed home to force out Sam Davison and Tanner Hobbs then fired to first in time to retire Painter to get out of a jam.

Grand Ledge, Mich. 4, Greensboro, N.C. 3, FINAL (8 innings): Sam Davison was a hero for Grand Ledge yesterday. He was again today, lacing a two-out shot down the right field line to score Jordan Goebel for the walk-off. Grand Ledge advances to the semifinals to face three-time defending Colt World Series champion Los Gatos, Calif.
