Spencer Wilson(Bishop McGuinness) makes his commitment to attend and play college basketball at Belmont Abbey

Spencer Wilson, from Bishop McGuinness High School in Kernersville, has committed to play college basketball for the Belmont Abbey Crusaders in Belmont, North Carolina…

A very good school/college and Al McGuire, NCAA Champion basketball coach from Marquette, coached at Belmont Abbey back in the day….

Spencer Wilson hit a long half-court(3/4’s) court shot to beat the Mt. Airy Bears last season and Spencer was able to beat Mt. Airy on that long shot once, but the young man with the big heart, beat/defeated cancer twice…

An outstanding young man with a very bright future, no matter how it all goes down, at Belmont Abbey….Spencer Wilson has been an inspiration to many people and this kid is just getting started….

Spencer will be a senior at Bishop McGuinness this upcoming school year of 2014/2015 and will don that Bishop basketball uniform when the season gets rolling full steam, in November….

Best of Luck to Spencer Wilson, but really this kid doesn’t need luck, he has his own brand of luck, but he does not call it luck, he calls it ‘Faith’ and it has carried him to the top of the mountain and it will carry him down the highway/I-85 to Belmont, home of Belmont Abbey College….

*****A very good feature on Spencer from Chad Silber at WFMY NEWS 2 on their Sunday evening 11pm newscast.*****
