The Community Service Award is presented to a club that has demonstrated an outstanding, on?going commitment to charitable service, philanthropy and leadership within their community. The Grasshoppers will be the South Atlantic League’s overall team nominee for the John Henry Moss
Community Service Award, which is presented each year at the Baseball Winter Meetings.

“It’s a very prestigious award and it’s something we take a lot of pride in,” said Grasshoppers President Donald Moore. “We are involved in so many charitable organizations and youth initiatives around Greensboro that are very important us, we try to help as many causes as we can.”

Todd Olson received the 2014 Sales Executive of the Year. The award is presented to an individual, recognizing outstanding sales performance over the past year.

“Todd had an incredible offseason in his ticket and sponsorship sales,” Moore said. “He also had a great year in his group sales goals; I think he was well deserving and we are very happy for him to receive that recognition throughout the year.”

Bob Perry received the 2014 Visiting Clubhouse Manager of the Year. This award is presented to a visiting clubhouse manager that shows superior service to our visiting teams. This award is decided by all fourteen South Atlantic League visiting team Field Managers.

“All the duties that go on in the clubhouse are behind the scenes and it’s an incredible amount of hours,” Moore said. “For him to be recognized by all the visiting teams, his service and the job he does stood out as the best amongst all of them.”

A formal presentation of the awards will be made during the South Atlantic League fall meetings.
