Thatcher And Rohde Named USA South Soccer Players of The Week

FAYETTEVILLE, NC – The USA South Athletic Conference announced the conferece players of the week for the first week of play on Monday afternoon. The Pride had two honorees on the week with Logan Rohde and Jessica Thatcher each taking defensive player of the week honors.

Men’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week
Logan Rohde, Greensboro – The junior goalkeeper from Cary, North Carolina posted a shutout as The Pride topped Guilford, 1-0 in overtime, in the team’s only action last week. In 104 minutes in net, Rohde stopped all three shots he faced.

Women’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week
Jessica Thatcher, Greensboro – The Stafford, Virginia junior goalkeeper helped The Pride to a 1-1 record last week by collecting 13 saves while allowing two goals in 180 minutes in net. In a 2-1 loss to McDaniel, Thatcher made six saves. In a 2-0 win over Marymount, Thatcher notched the shutout by stopping all seven shots she faced.
