Scott Harvey(Ragsdale HS) will be going to Augusta and playing in the Masters Golf Tournament

from Ragsdale HS and AD Brian Herndon:Congratulations to Scott Harvey, Ragsdale class of 1997, who just won the U.S. Amateur Championship and will play in the Masters next spring in Augusta.

It is a long way from that old driving range we used to see out on High Point Road to Augusta, Georgia, but that is the route Scott Harvey will be on/stay on, as he heads to the Master’s Golf Tournament in 2015….

Scott learned a lot from his dad Bill Harvey and Scott comes from within the Jamestown/Sedgefield community, but it took a trip to Bethlehem, Pennsylvania for Scott Harvey to find his way to Augusta and his quest to invest his life and his golf game into just getting as close as he can, to “The Green Jacket”….
(Scott Harvey has been coached in recent years by one of the best instructors in the business, Robert Linville[Northwest Guilford HS/Guilford College/Greensboro College/Precision Golf School])

from Jeff Mills at www.news-record.com:

Scott Harvey won a USGA national title Thursday afternoon, dominating Brad Nurski 6 & 5 in the 36-hole match-play finals of the U.S. Mid-Amateur Championship in Bethlehem, Pa.

Harvey only needed 31 of those holes to put away Nurski in the head-to-head match.

Now the 36-year-old real estate property manager from Greensboro will go back to The Masters in Augusta, Ga., in the spring.
