High School Football Saturday morning rewind:Reggie has Arrived/Reggie on the Run!!!

Had to hit that Rewind gear quick when I saw this one with Reggie Gallaspy going for 347 yards last night and he added his normal 4 TD’s….My deal on Reggie going into the Smith game was he would get his usual 250 yards and 4 TD’s and he sure surpassed those numbers…Reggie Gallaspy had gone from being one of the top running backs in our area to becoming among the top five RB’s in our state…Reggie is there, REGGIE has arrived and we may soon need to say he is in the Top 20 or possibly the Top 25 in the nation and let’s hope we do have to go there….

And there you have it we said it, Reggie has hit that T.J. Logan-type territory and this kid from Southern Guilford is on the clock….

Reggie Gallaspy with 347 yards and 4 TD’s in Southern Guilford’s 58-18 victory over Smith on Friday night…People are reading about him and people are talking about him, REGGIE is on the RUN…(From what we are seeing from Steve Huffman at the News and Record, Reggie didn’t hit the field in the 4th Quarter and his TD runs came on jaunts of 79, 69, 63 and 37 yards.)

From the Northwest Guilford Vikings the end results were not what they were looking for, but it was not due to the lack of productivity from QB Josh Homol or from WR’s Thomas Hennigan and Mark Garner…Homol goes 25-32/457 yards and 3 TD’s….Thomas Hennigan had 10-12 catches/receptions for 205 and a TD. Mark Garner had 11 receptions for 157 yards and Kevin Henry had two TD catches on Homol passes…Homol is hot, 457 yards passing and even though he did give up two picks, that is ‘White-Hot Homol’ with red-hot on the back-burner…Homol is HOT…..Crazy Hot…That 205 yards receiving for Hennigan will get your attention on a Saturday morning too…154 from Garner not too shabby either….

Nathan Stoner with right at 100 yards passing for the Southern Guilford Storm and SG WR Ron Hunt hauled in two TD receptions from SG QB Stoner…

Three touchdowns and the game-winning field goal with no time left on the clock for Western Guilford’s Kevin Gehsmann and this has to be a senior season that this young man will never have a problem remembering when he begins to enter his Senior moments…Last week KG and WG get the win with just 6.2 seconds left and last NO time left on the clock and that is what you might want to call, “Western taking it down to the Wire”, on the Rewind….

For Northern Guilford, when you look at their ‘Big Three’ of Cam Harris, Mook Reynolds and C.J. Freeman, we see Harris with two TD passes and one TD run last night and Reynolds hauled in one of those TD tosses with the other going to Nick Fryer and Freeman hit the Spencer Dixon freeway for one TD on Friday and it came on a three-yard run…Tre Marsh had a 75 yard scoop and score for the NG Nighthawks in their win over Reidsville..

Not a big night at all for Jamiel Mack(High Point Central) when you take into consideration his usual 3 TD’s running at least 2-3 more touchdowns through the air, as last night against some of the best competition on the state, Mack goes for 122 yards passing and just one TD and only 81 rushing yards and no scores…..The comp has picked up and Mack must come back to lift that Bison attack when they hit PTA conference play….

Just a tad outside of Guilford County, but it might be time to cross the line for East Forsyth and their QB Karson Sharpe had went 14-23 passing for 214 yards and one TD and we saw good games and good names on Javon Leake and Will Jones from Page, but did not get any true numbers to go with those names…

Justin Timmons from High Point Christian Academy had one rushing TD and one TD receiving last night, plus Timmons picked up another pick, to help the HPCA Cougars grab another big win…Chris Scales tipped the scales with 3 rushing TD’s for the Cougars, while Malik Streater added two more TD’s for HPCA…

JD Hill helped High Point Andrews get over the hump and get into that Win column, as the Red Raider back rushed for 111 yards and scored two TD’s to lead HP Andrews past Bartlett Yancey last night…

Big and I mean BIG for Southwest Guilford quarterback Devonte Cross with the SWG QB connecting on 4 TD passes and going 12-21 for 266 yards and he ran for one score too, as SWG ran past Southern Alamance and Mr. Jeremiah Brown, one of the top receivers in our area had 153 receiving yards on 8 receptions good for 2 TD’s…Cross and Brown went way across town last night…Eric Cunningham had 2 more TD’s for SWG and Colton Weeks added 8 Big Tackles….

Need more names and always need more numbers…

*****I hit the News and Record, the High Point Enterprise and the Burlington Times-News and this is what we have so far today and I really do wish we could bring you something on Eastern Guilford this day….Nothing in the N&R or in the Burlington Times-News on-line and we do apologize, but we really want to bring you some key names from the Eastern Guilford Wildcats after their win last night over Northeast…..Can you throw me a line?????*****
+++++Eastern Guilford news has come in and it was “Jarius Morehead Night” as he ran WILD for 200-plus yards rushing, along with 3 TD’s for the Eastern Guilford Wildcats…Thanks for the EG Wildcat update and good job Eastern on that (3-1) start….Also on the Wildcat trail, Morehead threw for 100 yards and 1 TD…For the EG Wildcats, Yrral Davis had three receptions good for 76 yards and 1 TD….+++++

Done for now….
*****We were under construction, but opened up several lanes of football traffic, to let readers come on through….*****
