Smith Golden Eagles still looking to ‘Shock the World’ with Kenneth Brown Jr.(Ben L. Smith/GSOSports.com)

Special to GreensboroSports.com by Kenneth Brown Jr.(GreensboroSports.com)

The Upset did not come close and the Eagles will still have to wait to shock the world. The Eagles lost 58-18 against the Southern Guilford Storm.

The Storm jumped out to a 23 to 6 lead in the first with QB Gemel Dixon on the keeper getting the first TD for us. At the Half:

Smith: 6
Southern: 30

In the 2nd Half, the Eagles jumped on the board scoring a couple of Touchdowns with failed conversions but the Storm was too much which led to the 58-18 Final. Sorry for the lack of scoring summary but the 2nd half touchdowns were led by QB Keep by Gemel Dixon and a complete pass to Myles White.

Final
Smith: 18
Southern: 58

The Eagles (1-4) have a bye week next week and play their last non conference game @ Southern Vance 2 weeks from now. The season is not over and it’s not too late to shock the world.
