The Western Carolina Catamount baseball team hosted the Ontario Blue Jays on Thursday evening in an exhibition game at Childress Field / Hennon Stadium.

Locals Brendan Nail(Page HS) saw time on the mound for Western Carolina and Caleb Robinson(Eastern Guilford HS) got a start at third base for the Catamounts…

More details coming later on, on how the two did and they are up there and helping WCU…

There was a doubleheader and Brendan Nail got the start in Game Two…They would only let the pitchers go one inning, but Nail struck out two batters and Caleb Robinson in Game Two had two hits(2-3) and one of those was a home run and C. Robinson drove in two runs…Also a solid defensive play by Robinson at 3rd base too…

Two six inning games and Western Carolina won both, 6-5 and 5-3…
