CHARLOTTE, N.C. – High Point University women’s golfer Sarah Bae earned her second Big South Women’s Golfer of the Week recognition of the season, the league announced on Thursday. Bae was the Panthers’ top finisher at the UNCG Forest Oaks Fall Classic in Greensboro, North Carolina.

Bae tied for seventh at the UNCG Forest Oaks Fall Classic with a 5-over 221. She was the top finisher among the 37 Big South golfers competing in the tournament and helped the Panthers finish sixth as a team. The sophomore shot an even-par 72 in the first round and followed with scores of 74 and 75 in the next two rounds. Bae has been HPU’s top finisher in both tournaments this season.

This is Bae’s third Big South Golfer of the Week honor and her second of the season. She previously earned the honor on Sept. 18 after finishing tied for third at the Oregon State Invitational. Last season, Bae was named Bog South Women’s Golfer of the Week once and Big South Freshman of the Week six times.

High Point continues its fall season at the Lady Pirate Invitational in Greenville, North Carolina on Oct. 13. The two-day 54-hole tournament will be hosted by East Carolina at the Greenville Country Club.
