Elon Golf Begins Final Fall Tournament

CAMDEN, S.C. – With rounds of 303 and 295 (598 overall), the Elon men’s golf team finds itself in 14th place after two rounds of the Camden Collegiate, the squad’s final fall tournament. The final round of the event will take place on Sunday.

Jake Leavitt paced the Phoenix on day one, shooting a 75 in the opening round before carding a one-over 71 during his second 18 holes of the day. Leavitt’s 146 has him tied for 32nd out of the 81 participants.

With a mark of 149 (78-71), Will DiIanni sits in a tie for 50th. Two strokes back, Jeff Kriegerwill begin Sunday’s final round in a tie for 60th thanks to rounds of 73 and 78 (151).

Troy Beaver began the day with a 79 before trimming four strokes off of his score in the second round. His 154 has him tied for 68th.

Elon’s last countable player is Jonathan DiIanni who is tied for 74th with a 157 (77-80).

Charlie May is competing as an individual. May is tied for 37th thanks to a day one total score of 147 (70-77).

Wofford’s Brannan Hudson’s 130 (67-63) has him atop the individual standings after day one. His performance also helped the Terriers to the top team spot in the 15-team event. Wofford shot a 565 (284-281) on Saturday.
