Elon Women’s Golf Phoenix Continues Play at Palmetto Intercollegiate

KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C. – In a field that features five of the nation’s top 50 teams, the Elon women’s golf squad finished the second round of the Palmetto Intercollegiate in 14th place with a score of 615 (304-311).

The Phoenix was led by freshman Heather Munro who sits in a tie for 39th out of 104 players with a mark of 152 (73-79).

Following Munro is Sunna Vidisdottir. Vidisdottir, who has tallied 25 pars over her first two rounds, has posted a 153 (74-79) to share 46th position.

Both Emily Brooks and Kelsey Badmaev have earned two-round marks of 155 to share 58th. Brooks, who has had rounds of 79 and 76, has earned 24 pars. Badmaev reached her 155 with rounds of 78 and 77.

In 101st position is Heather Dockrill. Dockrill will enter Tuesday’s final round with a tournament mark of 176 (87-89).

College of Charleston’s CC Buford soared up the individual leaderboard to grab first place with a five-under 139 (71-68).
