Final:Clemson 34, Wake Forest 20 and at one time this game was tied at 20-20 in the 4th Quarter and was all tied up at 17, at the half…Not a bad showing at all, by the Wake Forest Demon Deacons…

For the Clemson Tigers you have D.J. Reader/David Reader Jr.(Grimsley HS), who has played in 7 out of 8 games for the Tigers, with 4 Tackles/6 Assists for 10 Total Tackles….D.J. wears #48 and plays along the Clemson defensive line….
Not many wins for Wake over the years versus Clemson and the last one came in 2088, with Wake getting the win 12-7, Wake was a winner in 2005, 31-27 past the Tigers and another recent Wake Forest win over the Tigers came back in 2003 when the Demon Deacons topped Clemson 45-17….Right at five Wake Forest wins over the “Death Valley Drivers” in the past 20 years and one of the most lopsided victories in the series came when Clemson crushed Wake, 82-24 way back in 1981….
More news on tonight’s game at BB&T Field from the Charlotte Observer:
Steve Shutt, a Wake Forest associate director of athletics, said 34 NFL scouts or officials – including four general managers and owner Bill Bidwill of the Arizona Cardinals – are expected to be in attendance.
Again, the challenge is formidable. The Deacons, throughout their football history, have won only 22 of 149 games against ranked opponents, having lost the last 10. It also bears noting that Wake Forest is 17-61-1 against Clemson.
“It’s just a great opportunity for our program, the university, the Winston-Salem community, to get to host Clemson on national TV,” Wake coach Dave Clawson said. “So BB&T Field, Winston-Salem, North Carolina and Wake Forest University become the center of the college-football world for three hours (tonight).”
