The Smith Golden Eagles, coming off a 34-7 win last week against Southern Alamance, came into this game prepared. Tyrell Dumpson with the first touchdown of the night and the following conversion good, 8-0 in the first.
It was all Smith from there as they cruise to a 21-7 victory, avenging last years 29-15 loss, an interception late in the 4th gave the Eagles an opportunity to run out the clock.
A great effort on both sides on the ball as The Eagles finish (4-7; 2-3) Making History by winning their first BACK-TO-BACK Conference Games since 2011. The last time they won A conference game was a 46-14 win over Southern Alamance on October 28, 2011. This year two.
The Eagles will be watching seeding very closely as Seeding Day falls upon North Carolina but no matter what it’s been a pleasure to do this, this season.
