College Cross Country News – Guilford Competes in NCAA Division III South-Southeast Regional Meet

MOUNT BERRY, Ga. – Guilford College Men’s and Women’s Cross Country competed in the NCAA Division III South-Southeast Regionals, held at the Clara Bowl Course at Berry College. The men finished 28th, scoring 790 points, while the women finished 25th, scoring 683 points.

Trent Evans (Winston-Salem, N.C./R.J. Reynolds) led the Quaker man with a 129th place finish and an eight-kilometer time of 28:58.51, his fastest 8K time of the season. Nick Reynolds finished six spots behind Evans in 135th with a time of 29:12.10, his fastest time in an eight-kilometer race this season.

Rebecca Reyna (Liberty, N.C./Southern Alamance) paced the Quaker women with a 96th place finish, coming across the finish line of the six-kilometer race with a time of 25:12.74, her fastest 6K time this season by 1:22.6. Naomi Madaras broke her season-best mark six-kilometer races by 2:22.04 with a time of 25:21.26, finishing 102nd.
