Brian Hall at WFMY is reporting that the Eastern Wayne vs Southern Guilford High School Football Game scheduled for Friday has been postponed to Saturday due to Field Conditions.
This has been confirmed by Southern Guilford’s Twitter Account. The game is Scheduled for 6 PM.
May need to get the National Guard helicopters out there to CK Siler Stadium.
Need to make sure Reggie can make them cut backs.
They should of played tonight like every other team in the state. Football is played outside for a reason
You needed to see the pictures from Brian Hall and from Southern Guilford. The ground was saturated and standing water on the field 24 hours after the rain had stopped. Not every school has a perfect field that drains because it was built up in the center with a crown (higher in the center of the field). Southern had brought in dirt to fill those water puddle; they probably need to rebuild the field so it drains better over the off season.
