Southern Guilford Storm(13-0) at home TONIGHT vs. the Eastern Wayne Warriors(11-2), with the kickoff set for 6pm at C.K. Siler Stadium….We will be there and will have the broadcast of this game for you here at GreensboroSports Radio and we will begin the pre-game at just past 5pm and again that kick will come at 6pm…..Dennis White will be with us and Don Moore will have any score you need from last night’s action or from other games that we might find today and you can always get all that and Moore/more here at GreensboroSports.com…..Dennis White tonight and the Storm on the field looking to punch their ticket for Round Four of the playoffs with a win over Eastern Wayne….

Reggie Gallaspy with 3,034 rushing yards on the season on 324 carries with 46 rushing TD’s and 2 receiving touchdowns with 234.1 yards per game and that comes out to 9.4 yards per carry….Southern QB Nathan Stoner with 1,420 passing yards going 84-174, good for 48% and 109.2 yards per game, with 17 TD’s and 5 INT’s….Ron Hunt with 767 yards receiving for SG, on 40 receptions, good for 11 TD’s….Nigel Thomas has gained 621 yards rushing for the Storm on just 66 carries with 10 TD’s and an average of 9.4 yards per carry….Amon Harris has 243 yards on the ground and Tariq Haqq has 161 receving…..

We look for QB KK Best and RB’s Dayshawn Pridgen and Larry Newsome to be the tough hands running the ball for Eastern Wayne….EW defeated Eastern Alamance in the playoffs last year and then lost to Havelock in the semifinals….

Southern Guilford got to be ready to go get it tonight…..

Northern Guilford got their Round Three work done last night, with the Nighthawks 31-7 victory on the road at Hillsborough Orange and now the ‘Hawks will be back next Friday night hosting the Chapel Hill Tigers in the NCHSAA 3-AA East Title game, with the winner going on to Raleigh to play for the state championship….

Cam Harris for Northern was very big on Friday night with over 150 yards passing and over 100 yards rushing the ball and he hit for two TD passes and one TD run…Harris a TD run, Harris a TD pass to Mook Reynolds, Harris a TD pass to Max Maynard and C.J. Freeman a TD run for NG last night and Tristen Simmons added a FG and 4 PAT kicks….

Northern(13-1) hosting the (11-3) Chapel Hill Tigers next Friday night and Nighthawk coach Johnny Roscoe and his teams are now 18-0 in playoff games since 2010….15-0 for 2010-2012 and now 3-0 so for this postseason….

Northern defeated Chapel Hill in the playoffs back in 2012 and the final was 43-0 NG and that was back in the days of T.J. Logan and Austin Coltrane and now this new Nighthawk edition in 2014 has Harris, Reynolds and Freeman, plus others, and they could be as good if not better than they were back then….

Just a few basketball eye openers from last evening….

High Point Andrews girls over Bishop McGuinness…Tamera Thorpe with 34 points for the (7-0) Greensboro Day girls….Dudley girls beat SWG by 23 points…Greensboro Day boys 61-56 over WS Reagan….

Misconceptions on high school football rules

Uncatchable pass rules out interference. There is no “uncatchable” rule in high school football.
