GC’s Rohde and Clukey Named to NCCSIA All-State Mens Soccer Teams

GREENSBORO, NC – Greensboro College men’s soccer players Logan Rohde and Drew Clukey were recognized by the North Carolina Collegiate Sports Information Association (NCCSIA) when they announced their selections for the 2014 College Division All-State Men’s Soccer Teams.

Rohde was selected as the 2013 All-State first team goalkeeper after recording a 12-7-0 record between the posts. The junior was also named this season to the All-USA South second team after appearing in 19 games and assisting the team in setting a program record for most shutouts in a single season. The Cary native found himself in the school’s record books for goalkeeper shutouts (8) while picking up 57 saves, and finishing the campaign with a 0.98 goals against average.

Drew Clukey earned second team honors after recording two goals on the season while helping to anchor the Pride back line. Clukey was also previously honored as an All-USA South first team member.

Nominees were submitted by North Carolina sports information professionals and voted on by the NCCSIA members.

Founded in 2002, The North Carolina Collegiate Sports Information Association (NCCSIA) is comprised of sports information professionals from NCAA Division I, II, III, NAIA and independent institutions from the state of North Carolina. The purpose of the organization is to promote collegiate athletics at all schools. Membership is open to anyone affiliated with a college, university or conference located in North Carolina, and whose area of responsibility lies within sports information.
